Nicky Shane Headlines Santa Barabara Foodbank Fundraiser

Santa Barbara, CA ­ Local musicians and artists will come together to celebrate and support the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County this Saturday, October 11, at Arts Alive.

Headlining the event is The Nicky Shane Band led by Guinness World Record holder, Nicky Shane, the world's fastest harmonica player. The classically trained guitar player DNA shares the songwriting and direction of the band. Drummer Kim Schmitt and bass player Dave Grace add their road experience and a layer of cool steady ear chasing electric body rhythms.

"The Foodbank is the hub of existence for many organizations in the Santa Barbara County. Leaders from non-profits come through every week for needed items. Without this connection many (more) people would go hungry," said Shane of his continued support of the Foodbank.

"We have to take care of our own in our own backyard and if you want to see where your money is going just come on down anytime to the Foodbank and witness the daily picking up of food by local help and self-help organizations," continued Shane.
